Souls, Hate, Free Speech, and the Charlottesville Killing

It’s better to shine a light on a riot of flowers than to cast a Shadow on others in a riot of humans.

Hatred, hoocha, and negative life force are bubbling to the surface of American life. Let’s take a look at what is happening from a soul perspective.

We’re seeing the Shadow of America — all the dark impulses that are usually hidden beneath the surface of our culture. It is scary when it bubbles up to a level that we are aware of.

In a person, the Shadow usually lurks below the level of consciousness in the Wish or Will regions of the soul. In a group (America in this case) the Shadow lurks in parts of the population that are seldom seen by the majority of Americans. When the Shadow makes itself known, and we’re not part of the Shadow, we seldom know what to do with it.

In the Charlottesville situation, there are two sides. Let’s call them Blue and Red. Continue reading and add your comment

River of Sorrows and Tonglen

Last time [http://weallhavesouls.com/2017/04/07/river-of-blessings/] I wrote about mixing the River of Blessings and the River of Sorrows to create beauty. One of my observations was that we have lost the ability to empty the Rivers so they rise up and overwhelm us. This time I offer a brief look at tonglen, which is a way to empty the River of Sorrows.

Tonglen is a Tibetan Buddhist breathing meditation practice that helps us compassionately open our hearts to care for and reduce our own and others’ suffering.

The exercise opens our Heart Continue reading and add your comment

Curses, that depossession didn’t work – and why!

Depossessions and curse removals don’t always work. Sometimes they make things worse. I’m about to give you an example of one of those and some ideas about how to be more successful.

Last time [http://weallhavesouls.com/2017/02/09/curses-through-many-lifetimes/] I looked at some of the issues related to curse removal. This time I want to look at a specific case that required some work to help the cursing entity as well as the client. I think both need to be considered in cases like this one.

My client was a male friend, whom I will call Y. He had a rough childhood which included abuse from his mother and older sister, whom I will call X. When Y asked me for help, both his mother and sister had died. It was clear that they were still negatively affecting Y even though he had separated himself from them for many years.

My team of incarnate and spirit helpers found place for the mother to go that separated her from Y. X was more of a problem. In the end we managed to force her into a secure place which we imagined as a room with mirrors so she could see what she had done, but not get out to affect Y. It was a hard struggle and everyone was hurt, a little or a lot, by the end of it.

Those of you who have read my thoughts about compassionate depossession Continue reading and add your comment

Curses through Many Lifetimes

When I remove curses or have curses on me removed, I find that many are from earlier lifetimes. A typical pattern is that one person gets cursed in one lifetime and then turns around and curses the cursor in the next lifetime. Another pattern is that one person curses another person over and over through many lifetimes.

These curses can bounce back and forth, pretty much forever, getting stronger each time. When curse removers step in to fix the problem, they enter a dangerous minefield of interwoven nastiness.

I think there are two flavors to curses. One is binding negative life force to a person to bring about something like, “You will never find a woman who will treat you well.” The other is possessing a person to take over his or her Will. In my next post, I’ll tell a story about a curse that had both parts. A crucial aspect of removing the curse was finding the beginning of the cycle of cursing. Continue reading and add your comment

Mutual Sharing vs. Codependency

There is an exercise in We All Have Souls and I Think We Can Prove It that shows it is impossible to live in the physical world without harming other living things. In brief it asks you to consider a vegetable.

One point of the exercise is that we need to eat other living things to survive. When you eat the vegetable, feeding you becomes its sole purpose for existing. A carrot or stalk of broccoli that you eat doesn’t go on to make more carrots or broccoli. It’s finished, at least in the “bloodline” (seedline?) sense.

We should not have any thought that we can live in the physical world without harming other beings. It can’t be done. The souls of those other beings Continue reading and add your comment

???ing the Haters

Last time I wrote about Ho’oponopono and asked for thoughts about how to use it in a confrontation about soul reality. Basic Ho’oponopono has four steps: “I’m sorry.” “Please forgive me.” “Thank you.” “I love you.”

I specifically asked what you would do if you were talking about your experiences and you ran into a “hater” who challenged you by saying, “There is no such thing as soul reality. Physical reality is all that there is.” How do you fill in the question marks in the title of this post? Continue reading and add your comment

Ho’oponopono, Hawaiian Reconciliation Practice

Ho’oponopono is a Huna practice to make things right between two people or groups of people. I’m going to describe where the practice comes from and one way to do it. Then I’m going to ask you for your thoughts on applying it to one particular situation.

I will write up your ideas as the blog for two weeks from now. This is a contribution I’m asking you to give to the community of readers here on the We All Have Souls website.

Background Concepts

Huna is a way of living that comes from the Hawaiian Islands. I first read about Huna Continue reading and add your comment

Heart Region of the Soul

chakra 4

The Heart region powers our connections with others. In a positive situation we feel love for others and for ourselves. When the connections are negative, we feel anger and hate.

We can differentiate what the Heart does from the other regions in two ways. Continue reading and add your comment

Cloak of the Angels

I want to share something you can do right now and every day to make your life and the world better. It’s called The Cloak of the Angels, which I learned from Orion Foxwood.

The physical movements for the first two lines are raising your hands up above your head and — in soul reality — bringing a cloak down out of the sky. In the next line place the cloak around the shoulders of a person (or a community or the whole world or even yourself, if you need it). Fill in the blank with the recipient of the blessing. In the final line, wrap the cloak around the person by touching your hands together in front of the person’s heart.

You can do this in person or at a distance.

I call down the cloak of the angels.
Fall down as a waterfall of light.
Guiding, guarding, blessing __________,
By day and by night.

Feel free to send this blessing to me any time you think about it ☺ — and to everyone else you care about.

We All Have Souls. Why Does it Matter? Part 2

The soul I am talking about has a structure. You can read about it here.

The life force we talked about earlier powers the soul. Life force moves energy and information from one place to another. Some regions use information more than energy. These are the Mind region and the Voice region. The Desire region and the Will region are more effective with energy. The Heart region seems to use an even balance of information and energy.

The second reason that souls matter is because they provide many ways for us to heal ourselves. Life is difficult and we all get banged and bruised. Western medicine is usually pretty effective at healing the body. It is not nearly as effective at healing the Mind or the Heart or the Will. Techniques that rely on soul reality can be used to heal these other parts of us.

There are some practices, current recognized by Western medicine, that seem to be best explained by soul reality. These include eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping), Rolfing, and other deep tissue massage. Other techniques that seem to use both body- and soul-related ideas include acupuncture, acupressure, Reiki, qi gong, and related techniques.

Other techniques take us deep into soul reality. Shamanic healing techniques come from a variety of traditions, both modern and ancient. These focus on healing the soul. Earth magic, including witchcraft and herb lore, can be used for healing, too. When we look at these traditions, at least for people who are working on healing, we find that they work for all souls. It isn’t just humans that can be healed by these techniques. They can be used to heal the soul of the world and the souls of everything the world contains.

In our culture we get in the habit of thinking only about the physical. When we experience the world through our souls, everything changes. We are connected to one another, and if we are open to the experience, we are connected to everything. An act of kindness can resonate throughout a community. Even people who don’t know what has happened can feel a positive change. We know that what we do makes a difference. We know that we are alone only if we choose to be. We can connect with others in our community because souls are designed for just that purpose. This meaningful connection is the third reason that souls matter.

I believe our physical existence is a great experiment to create something new in a universe of souls. There are places where the glory of this creation can be felt. Some say the wilderness is best. But I find the same kind of joining together can happen with art or music. Think of the joy you see in videos of a flash mob music and dance performance.

So having souls lets us heal and grow. Souls let us be part of something that is important and know that the effort we put into our lives will make a difference. Souls let us feel our connections to others even while we are in bodies that separate us. Deep inside us we want meaningful lives and loving relationships and the knowledge that we matter. It’s work to get all those, but having souls matters because souls let us accomplish all those things.
